Many products in the market continue to deploy on PCIe® 5.0 platforms, while increasing attention is being placed on the validation stage to ensure product performance, credibility, and stronger market competitiveness.To help customers accelerate validation processes without being limited by time or location, iPasslabs, a PCI-SIG® Authorized Test Lab, is now expanding its official compliance capability to support PCIe® 5.0 at 32.0 GT/s.Since becoming the first PCI-SIG® Authorized Test Lab (ATL) in Asia in 2025, iPasslabs has provided official compliance testing services for PCIe® 4.0 and PCIe® 5.0 up to 16.0 GT/s. Collaboration focuses on PCI Express® and MIPI A-PHY® compliance testing, delivering certified validation services to a global customer base.

iPasslabs Technology Co. Ltd. and BitifEye Digital Test Solutions GmbH have announced a strategic partnership to expand the global availability of authorized test services for high-speed digital interfaces. To meet the growing demands of AI and Smart Vehicle ecosystems worldwide, the collaboration focuses initially on PCI Express and MIPI A-PHY, with future extensions planned for USB®, IEEE/OIF, and other emerging standards.

By combining the members’ complementary expertise in test system development, automation and service delivery, the partnership offers certified testing through the companies’ global network. BitifEye, based in Germany, and iPasslabs, headquartered in Taiwan, will jointly pursue international business development and the provision of Authorized Test Laboratory (ATL) services.

With the trend in the automotive industry moving toward autonomous driving, intelligent cockpits, and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) connectivity, the demand for long-distance, high-speed, and highly reliable data transmission within vehicles is increasing. To help accelerate the adoption of the MIPI A-PHY specification, the MIPI A-PHY Compliance Program Test Event will be held in Taipei, Taiwan, from December 8 to 12, 2025. In the past, connections between in-vehicle sensors, displays, and electronic control units relied on proprietary technologies from various vendors, lacking a common standard. MIPI A-PHY is the industry’ s first standardized automotive high-speed transmission interface, designed as a SerDes physical layer specifically for automotive applications. Anritsu Corporation is pleased to announce that iPasslabs Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully been certified as a PCI-SIG Authorized Test Lab by utilizing the Anritsu Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A. This enables iPasslabs to provide PCI Express® (PCIe) receiver sensitivity and other compliance certification services to customers worldwide. In collaboration with Credo, iPasslabs has also completed the industry’s first PCIe 6.0 Retimer performance validation. Anritsu’s MP1900A automated verification system includes pre-system calibration and jitter tolerance testing. Its ability to perform automatic, iterative calibration and verification ensures stable and fast test results, offering crucial support for optimizing data center network architectures, AI computing accelerators, and large Ethernet switch designs. At the core of this system lies the Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A — a high-performance, multi-channel bit error rate tester (BERT) that delivers comprehensive measurement capabilities. It fully supports the R&D and design requirements of next-generation network interfaces such as 800G/1.6T Ethernet, as well as high-speed bus interfaces including PCI Express 6.0/7.0, USB4 v2, and Thunderbolt™. The MP1900A features a built-in Pulse Pattern Generator (PPG) that delivers industry-leading waveform quality, with ultra-low intrinsic jitter (115 fs rms), and a high-sensitivity Error Detector (ED) capable of detecting signals as low as 15 mV. It also integrates multiple jitter generation sources (SJ, RJ, SSC, BUJ), common-mode and differential-mode interference sources (CM-I/DM-I), and white noise generation. Furthermore, with support for link training and Link Training and Status State Machine (LTSSM) analysis, it comprehensively supports various applications including compliance testing, margin testing, and troubleshooting.

“The Anritsu MP1900A is a critical tool that enables iPasslabs to support our customers in high-speed receiver signal measurements, debugging, and characterization,” said Eric Shen, CEO of iPasslabs Technology. With the surging demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC), the PCI Express® (PCIe®) high-speed interface plays a pivotal role. In response, iPasslabs recently announced a significant milestone: achieving official PCI-SIG® authorization to become Taiwan's and APAC's first PCI-SIG® Authorized Test Lab (ATL). The company will provide PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 5.0 up to 16GT/s Compliance Testing to PCI-SIG members and is set to launch its PCIe 6.0 specification test fixtures in June 2025, positioning itself to capture early market advantages.

In recent years, with the rapid development of generative AI, high-performance computing data centers, and cloud servers, their architectural designs have become increasingly complex. However, the PCIe interface enables the seamless integration of computing data among IC chips, memory, storage and other devices throughout the data center, establishing it as one of the indispensable high-speed signal interfaces. In response to these technological demands, PCI-SIG has expedited the release timeline for next-generation specifications. This week is the PCIe 6.X Pre FYI Workshop. As a partner of the PCI-SIG serial enabling working group, iPasslabs is responsible for the "Tx/PLL" test item. The primary purpose of the FYI Workshop is to assist in the development of the PCIe 6.X compliance testing specification that enables iPasslabs to obtain more opportunities to test PCIe 6.0 development products ahead of time. Especially with the addition of "SNDR" and "RLM" test items in PCIe 6.0 TX.

Compared to other labs, we are now equipped to provide customers with pre compliance test. This enables us to offer the newest solutions and advices for additional test items for products already in the PCIe 6.0 development process, helping customers to complete the PCI-SIG compliance test in the beginning of official specification released by the near future, and seize the maximum business opportunities by being the first to market.
